An Important Update from TEDxAkron
Currently, there is no active leadership or license issued for TEDxAkron. After 7 years of leadership, the outgoing team decided to officially step down and away from their roles as license holders, leaders, and organizers of TEDxAkron in April of 2026.
For over a decade, TEDxAkron has been a space for ideas, voices, and stories that may not have otherwise found a stage, brought to life by an extraordinary community of speakers, volunteers, partners, and supporters. Being able to connect with Akronites of all walks of life, open doors wide, offer this unique stage, and pass the microphone has been a true honor and privilege for every leadership team since 2011. We don’t know what might be next or possible with a TEDx in Akron, but anyone interested in organizing a future TEDxAkron or similar TEDx event is welcome to apply through TED’s official process to inquire if this or another license is available.
PLEASE NOTE: If you become the new license holder and leader of TEDxAkron and this website is still available,
please reach out so we can offer a transfer of this website and all associated resources to the appropriate people.
